Bakarwal (or Bakharwal) is a nomadic tribe based in the Himalayan mountains of South Asia. They are mainly goatherds and shepherds.

I came across this group of four Bakarwal ladies on my way to Srinagar from Leh... She was one of them, when I asked her if I could take her photo she posed like I'm a policeman and told her to stand dead straight...
Damn, I just don't like it when people do that to me...
